2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier

2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier

It seems that Bugatti is trying to gain another success after they launched the Veyron model. Although the car is considered as one of the most expensive cars in the world, the sales numbers was quite impressive and satisfying. The manufacturer is now preparing the new 2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier, another model which is hoped to reach the similar success as the Veyron. Galibier was first shown at Geneva Motor Show 2010. From the initial appearance, it seems that the car is getting positive reviews from both car critics and fans. The 2013 Bugatti 16C Galibier concept is combining luxury, performance, style, and speed. The four doors model car will be available the following year after 2012, where is designed to be the year for Veyron. Just like Veyron, the Galibier will be produced only in limited numbers for the exclusivity. The manufacturer will only produce about 300 models. It’ll be running on 16 cylinder of 8.0 liter twin engine compressor that is able to produce about 10...

2013 Audi Rs5

First drive:2013 Audi RS5

"Mad" King Ludwig II of Bavaria was born on August 25, 1845 -- arguably a century or two too late. He so revered the absolute monarchs that preceded him -- France's "Sun King" Louis XVI, the romantic Viking and German kings featured in Richard Wagner's operas -- that he plunged his family into epic debt dotting Bavaria with fairytale castles and chateaux that were all way out of proportion to the modest power he wielded as a mere constitutional monarch. His obsession with these projects and utter lack of interest in issues of state ultimately led to his deposition on trumped-up grounds of mental instability, followed almost immediately by his mysterious death. But a tour of his architectural ode to absolute power seemed a fitting itinerary for shaking down Bavaria's latest powerhouse coupe, the Audi RS 5. First a bit about our hero (the car), which is going on sale in Germany presently, but isn't expected to arrive on our shores until fall 2012, as a 2013 model (unless perhaps a g...

2013 Smart fortwo

Review:2013 Smart fortwo

For 2013, the Smart ForTwo continues to be the smallest car on U.S. roads, at less than 9 feet long. For the first time, though, it has a close competitor, the Scion iQ. And the presence of a new minicar, almost as short and easy to park as the Smart, unfortunately brings the flaws of the aging ForTwo into stark relief, no matter if it's propelled by gasoline or by electric, as it is in the Electric Drive model. The styling of the 2013 ForTwo--whether basic Coupe or the Cabriolet with two removable roof panels for open-air motoring--is by now an icon. The swoosh line that surrounds the passenger compartment is distinctive, and it still attracts enormous attention, whether parked in the city or seen between two semis at speed on the highway (which can be a slightly daunting experience). For 2013, Smart has restyled both front and rear bumper fascias and the door sill moldings. If you follow such things, you can tell the latest Smart by the position of its logo badge, which now sit...

2012 Honda new car Jazz review

Honda have given their snazzy little hatch, the Jazz a facelift for 2012. The exterior design has progressed, now sporting a redesigned front & rear bumpers. This aesthetic change has also improved the car’s wind cheating characteristics. Lighting the roads will be the new restyled headlamps and tail lamps. A sporty honeycomb grille sits between the headlamps. The overall exterior design is intended to express spatial efficiency as emphasized by their campaign theme, “M an Maximum, minimum machine”. The Jazz is equipped with a 1.5L i-VTEC engine that delivers 118 hp @ 6600 rpm and a 145Nm torque @ 4800 rpm. It is mated to a 5 Speed Automatic transmission, a first in class, and also gets steering mounted dual mode paddle shifters which should make this small hatch a fun drive. The cabin is generally refined and is typical little-fuss Honda quality. The large three-meter cluster is permanently lit for daytime clarity. There is a multi-information display (MID) indic...

2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

Test drive:2013 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

The sad truth is that the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is simply too fast for this world. You just can’t go cruising around at something like 20 mph faster than a pole-winning qualifying lap for the Indy 500. But if  you must find a place to blast around in one of these land-bound rockets, you could do worse than Eastern Cape, South Africa, or at least the most remote portions of it. Here, termite hills provide some of the only landmarks by  which to navigate, and the savannas and badlands are covered in a thick blanket of silence. And that’s exactly why  we and a couple of Bugatti engineers have come here for a final preproduction evaluation of the newest and likely final variation on the Veyron 16.4 theme, the Grand Sport Vitesse. Where a rear license plate typically would be found, the Vitesse carries a yellow placard that reads: HIGH SPEED TEST VEHICLE APPROVED BY GOVERNMENT. And as much as we might want this Veyron, we think we might want that placard even more. But we digr...

2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback ES 4dr Front-wheel Drive Hatchback

2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Expert Review: New Car Test Drive

The following review is for a 2011 Model Year. There may be minor changes to current model you are looking at. Affordable compact to Evo, all of them good. Introduction If it's a compact car you're looking for, the 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer will have your head spinning at nine enticing models. The Lancer is a clean and lovely car, even with its fish face. Some see a shark mouth, and say the Lancer is lovely because of it, not despite it. Its good looks give it distinction in its field. Its good engines give it value.  All 2011 Lancers have anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control standard, along with seven airbags, the latest being driver's knee.  The 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer lineup starts with the $14,995 Lancer DE, not quite bare bones because it's got power doors and windows, keyless entry and auto halogen headlamps, but lacks air conditioning, 60/40 folding rear seat, and cruise control. But it's got the sa...

2013 Subaru BRZ

Test drive:2013 Subaru BRZ

Last December, our wandering man of intrigue Jonathan Ramsey drove a Subaru BRZ prototype at Japan's Tochigi circuit under somewhat controlled conditions and was nonetheless very impressed. Then, in that same month, SoCal lad Michael Harley – he who knows a thing or two about hot-footing it on closed circuits – took the practically identical Scion FR-S for many unfettered laps on the island's short and sweet Sodegaura Forest Raceway. He, too, was left extremely enthused by the experience. My turn now. We needed a real road test of the Subaru BRZ just to see if this car really does merit the "zenith" part of its name represented by its final letter. Can the stellar handling and light weight we've already raved about translate into something you could happily drive every day? The roads on which Subaru sent me with their new star pupil could not be more appropriate: the ominous Route Napoleon in southern France. This is perfect, because the number of new car drives following the...

2013 Lexus GS 450h

Test drive:2013 Lexus GS 450h

Are you one of the countless anonymous identities on the Internet threatened by the influx of alternatively propelled vehicles for reasons that go on ad infinitum? If so, you'll be devastated to learn the all-new 2013 Lexus GS 450h we recently tested did not self-implode. While V-8s and luxury sedans are a vintage union, there's been a divorce with the new GS. Further evidence of the auto industry's pervasive powertrain downsizing trend, the new, 338-horsepower GS 450h has replaced the V-8-powered, 342-hp GS 460 and the 340-hp GS 450h. Lexus' edict to spruce up the GS lineup's handling for the 2013 model year has also furnished the GS 450h with startlingly amenable dynamic behavior, a quality that didn't feel like a priority on the previous gen car. Hybridized, luxurious, and genuinely sporty -- how many vehicles today fit that bill? The GS 450h has been fitted with much of the latest technological wizardry of the Toyota empire, starting with the second-gen version of Lexus Hybri...
